EQUAL OPPORTUNITY at the University of South Florida St. Petersburg

The University of South Florida St. Petersburg expects respect and fair treatment for all people. We value individuals, respect their diversity and varied perspectives, and commit ourselves to tolerance of divergent views (see USFSP Strategic Plan 2008-2013 Mission, Vision, and Values).

All members of the University community, including faculty, staff, and students, are welcome to access the USFSP Equal Opportunity process. The University prohibits discrimination based on race, color, marital status, sex, religion, national origin, disability or age, as provided by law. The university protects its faculty, staff, and students from discrimination and harassment based on sexual orientation. (see USF Policy 0-007) Applicants and customers of USF St. Petersburg may also be protected in some instances.

The Equal Opportunity program is here to serve you. Students, staff, and faculty are encouraged to come forward to the Equal Opportunity Manager with questions or concerns. The Manager can answer questions, provide guidance, or process complaints should they be filed. Further, this office will provide Equal Opportunity Training and Education including Sexual Harassment Awareness, Equal Opportunity Issues in the Workplace, Diversity Basics, Supervisors' Introduction to Equal Opportunity, and any tailored training requested by individual departments. Our commitment is to help resolve issues.

To report allegations of discrimination or sexual harassment, a member of the USF community may call 727.873.4684, e-mail the Manager of EO, walk in to the office - Bay 206J, or (employees only) use Ethics Point .

Supervisors, faculty members and others with supervisory or leadership responsibility (lead workers, instructors, GAs, etc.) must report allegations of discrimination or sexual harassment that come to their attention.
