1. LOGIN TO OASIS
2. SELECT STUDENT AND FINANCIAL AID
3. SELECT REGISTRATION THEN REGISTRATION STATUS

Q: Why will my U number not work?

There are several reasons why a U number might not work in the registration system.

  1. Be sure to include the U and the eight digit number. For example U12345678.
  2. If you were just admitted to USFSP very recently your information may not have been added to the orientation database.
  3. If you were admitted to the Tampa your information will not be in the USFSP orientation database. You must attend orientation in Tampa.
  4. If you were admitted to Tampa first and completed a change of home campus form then your information may not have been added to the orientation database when your home campus changed.
  5. If you have not been admitted to USFSP yet your information will not be added until you have officially been admitted.
  6. Make sure you are trying to register for the correct orientation. Transfer students and first time in college students have two very different registrations and programs.

Please call the Office of Orientation at 727-873-4754 and let us know if you cannot register for orientation.

Q:  How do I pay for New Student Orientation?

A:  For Transfer Students registration are placed on your student account which are paid with your tuition.  For first time in college students, you will pay for your orientation when you confirm your orientation date with a credit or debit card. Parents and family members will also pay online with a credit card when the student registers.

Q:  Why is there a fee for orientation?

A:  The orientation budget consists only of the fees that are collected by both the student fees and the parent & family program fees.  The budget pays for the food included in orientation, all printed materials, staffing, office supplies, mailing materials, and endless other resources needed to run an orientation program. For First Time in College students your orientation fee also covers overnight housing and extra food costs that are incurred for a 2-day program.

Q: Do parents spend the night in the Residence Hall for first time in college orientation?

A: No. The Parent & Family orientation is only held on the first day of first time in college student orientation. Overnight accommodations are not provided. We do recommend you stay at the St. Petersburg Hilton, which is walking distance from campus and is providing discounted rates for orientation evenings. Please make your reservation online here or by calling 727-894-5000 and indicating you are a guest of the University of South Florida St. Petersburg.
