USF St. Petersburg: A Member of CUR

USF St. Petersburg is a member of the Council on Undergraduate Research (CUR). Membership has its advantage and provides many new services. Some of the new services that are beneficial to USFSP faculty include:

  • Subscription to Newswise that allows us to submit press releases about undergraduate research and make it available to 4000 journalists across the country.
  • CUR Mentoring Service that matches a new faculty member with an experienced faculty member from another institution. New professor have found this to be an invaluable service. If interested in the mentoring service, send a request directly to the National Office, cur@cur.org with "Mentor Request" in the subject line. There is no charge for this service for CUR Members.
  • Volunteers available to review proposals, should faculty have a proposal that could benefit from an outside review prior to submission.
  • Registry of Undergraduate Researchers lists undergraduate students who have had research experience and wish to continue their education toward a doctorate. The Registry is available for purchase at a reduced price of $1200 for the full registry, to doctoral granting institutional members of CUR.

Upcoming Trainings: Iinformation about upcoming institutes, seminars, trainings, and workshops, can be found on the web site, http://www.cur.org.
