Course Proposals

Welcome to the online USF St. Petersburg course proposal forms.

ALL COURSES (NEW, SUBSTANTIVE AND NON-SUBSTANTIVE) ONCE SUBMITTED FOR UNDERGRADUATE COUNCIL REVIEW WILL UNDERGO A THIRTY-DAY HOLD FOR REVIEW AND COMMENT BY ALL USF CAMPUSES.

• Substantive Undergraduate Course Change Form   (definition)
• Nonsubstantive Undergraduate Course Change Form  (definition)
• Recommendation for the Offering of an Undergraduate Minor, Certificate, Track, or Concentration
• New Degree Program Approval

If the submitted proposal impacts the curriculum of a department at Tampa, Sarasota or Lakeland, please email the Chair of the affected department on the Tampa Campus alerting them that the posting has been made.

You no longer have to submit the SUS course transmittal forms for submission to Tallahassee. We will produce them and forward them to Tallahassee for you if you use the on-line course submission forms.
Materials submitted to the council for approval will include the following:

*  Twelve (12) copies of each course syllabus for new courses and substantive changes. For non-substantive changes, we ONLY need ONE (1) copy of the course syllabus if the course description is being changed.
*  A signed Undergraduate Curriculum Request Form
*  A memo from the Dean that your proposal has completed all college processes and is ready for submission to the Council.
